With the aim of the "Zero home delivery" MAMOTA Project in association with the Department of Family Planning and financial supported by KOICA and Save the Children Bangladesh organized five events in the UHFWC or adjacent campus, called "daughter-in-law – Mother-in-law fair” in working upazilas under Gaibandha district by arranging a number of events. Objective: Objective of the event is to: 1. Creating good relationship with daughter-in-law and mother-in-lows. 2. Ensure proper nutrition for daughter-in-law’s 3. Promote institutional delivery rather than home delivery The Events: Some of the same minded projects of SKS Foundation and other local organization displayed their activities during the fair. Lots of school students, local people came to saw various play among main participants and they also move to stalls of fair and learn about services for them from the various corner of government and NGO level. During the opening and closing session discussion has held to clear the objective of the event. Speakers of the session talked about advantage of good relationship with daughter-in-law and mother-in-lows, nutrition for future mother and present pregnant women, dos and don’ts for the pregnant women, advantage of institutional delivery, advantage of normal delivery instead of C-Section. After the opening session daughter-in-law, mother-in-lows, husbands play separate games and quiz competition. All of the games mainly focused on the essential learning and interpersonal relationship with daughter-in-law’s and his husband family members. Sardar Mostofa Shahin, UNO of Saghata Upazila, Mr. Sangchrl, KOICA representative, Khaleda Habib, Senior Manager, Save the children Bangladesh, Md. Baharam Khan, PC Mamota Project, Md. Mizanur Rahman representative of the Padumshahor Union Parishad, Md. Golzar Rahaman, FWCMC member, and others guest discussed various issues related to institutional delivery. Discussion, Quiz competition, Vegetable cutting, Ball throwing, Pot breaking, Shari wearing (Male), and Mamota Project’s activity demonstration were displayed to mark the day. Pregnant mother, Mother in-law, community leaders, NGO representatives, community people, and journalists participated these programs. A total selected 30 pregnant mother with their mother in-law and husband participated in games and others community people enjoyed the day long various activities. In the second session honorable Deputy Director-Family Planning department, Gaibandha handed over promotion materials (Bowl) total: 18 (Male:03, and Female:15). Uria: In the inauguration session, at the open space of the Gunvari High School started early in the morning. Discussed on importance of institutional delivery and disadvantage of the home delivery.
