Promotion of Maternal And Newborn Health (MAMOTA) Project

Gaibandha district is lagging behind in most of the maternal health indicators, e.g. ANC visit, facility delivery, PNC for mothers & Newborn, within the division. Gaibandha district is at particular disadvantage, and significant disparities and variation in health service utilization. Save the Children has been implementing Mamota project in Gaibandha. The project support Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW) to ensure access to quality Maternal, Newborn Health-Family Planning services at facility and community levels. The project implements through local partner SKS Foundation in Gaibandha. The project is funded by Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) through Save the Children Korea.

Enhanching Access to Essential MNCH-FP Service.

Mamota Project strives to improve equitable access to quality essential Maternal, Newborn Health and Family Planning services, especially for the adolescent girls, poor and marginalized group in hard-to-reach area, specially char area in Gaibandha.

The Mamota Project cooperates MOHFW to ensure quality Maternal, Newborn Health and Family Planning services. The project ensures correct using of partograph for each delivery at Union level health facility. The project trains health service providers to use partograph and monitors it regular through govt health and family planning supervisor and manager.
