Emergency referral systems are imperative for the context, where the population is heavily dispersed and resides in rural areas with poor transportation infrastructure. A systematic and structured referral system ensures the rapid and timely transportation of patients to a health facility and increases the chances of receiving life-saving treatments. These delays are easy to avoid with a swift, planned, and accessible transportation network within a referral system.
